Current Events

Practically, can't think of anything to say at this moment, but perhaps it is a bit alarming (or perhaps get used to?) on the current events that are happening. Previously the Olympics 2008 just showed an awe-striking opening on the Olympics 2008 in Beijing.

Indeed it was very magnificent event. Though I probably want to stay and watch in TV rather than being personally there, or i will die of suffocation (hehehe! just exaggerating, but probably will trigger my asthma!). But for some reason, the event created issues as well. Just read some Yahoo news saying that some of it were fake or I may properly say, an illusion. Used with hi-tech gadgets for that matter (possibly better than causing too much smoke on the area). But if I were to rate it? It would be perfectly awesome. I believe none has yet been able to do so, nor none has expected such a tremendous preparation.

But, while the globe is so focused and centered on the event happening. One thing unexpected has happened as well. It seems war will strike again. Reading from the news, Russia and Georgia seem to have their conflicts. And of course, thousands of people are affected by it. I'm just unsure how many already have died.

Locally, we too have a problem of our own, recently the MILF has been been exchanging fires with the military. They have infiltrated the towns somewhere in the Northern Cotabato. And, more pitiful families are affected by it. Not knowing their security, that may also cost their lives.

Far more than this is still our economic problems we are encountering, rice shortage, oil price hike, jeepney fare price hike, everything going high, in addition, corruption seem to grow more and greedy men becoming more greedy. Really sounding like more and more like what has been foretold in the prophetic books of the Bible.

So much things really happening, but still, we Christians hope. Hoping for that day when Christ shall take His people. That is our Blessed Hope. Hope of which we Christians stand to live for or even die for. For it is a promise God has given to those who receive and believe Christ to be their Lord and Savior.

Revelation 21:1-5
1)And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.(2) And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.(3) And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.(4) And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.(5) And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

May we continue to take hold of that hope and display it as well in our lives. That they who do not know Christ may see it and will come to know Christ as well.
